Are there still issues with Denon's Engine software which I've read about or has this improved more recently?.Are the effect buttons on the Denon similar to the positioning and categories as on the Pioneer giving some parity between using them both?.Can you do beat gridding well on the Denon?.Can the Pioneer work well with most other software such as Virtual DJ and Aldoriddm too?.On the Pioneer if I'm using it as standalone and using channel 1 and 2 to play Mp3 mixes, if I then used a turntable to scratch on the 3rd channel could I use it with Serato Vinyl Scratch linked to a laptop?.Touchscreen - this is much bigger and better than the Pioneer one and you can angle it how you wish.I do intend to move it around a bit, to the garden, kitchen, friends house. Weight - it's more than 3kg lighter so it's easier to carry about if you want to take it somewhere.Flexibility to use it with other DJ software such as Virtual DJ / Algoriddm, etc.Usage of 4 channels in standalone mode, although only ever mixed 2 tracks together at the same time however now I would like to be able to scratch over either of the 2 channels playing tracks instead of only 1 channel and be able to do this in standalone mode, although I would still be restricted to the Denon jog wheels to do that without an external deck but it's still possible all as standalone. The hard drive up to 1TB could hold a serious library of music.

The job wheel size is better for scratching, I'm used to doing this on 12" vinyl so this is a big plus for me.I'm now looking to purchase either a Pioneer XDJ XZ or a Denon Prime 4 and here are my reasons why this decision has been hard for me personally: I'm getting back into mixing after 8 years out (was mixing 15+ years prior mostly on vinyl then a few years or so with CDJs).

I know there's been plenty of threads about this topic but I have a particular use case and am just trying to do a final weigh up so I can make a decision and am looking for some opinions and suggestions from others to help me come to a conclusion.
